VOLUNTEER

We would to hear from anyone interested in giving some time to support the work of the distinctly black country network. Volunteering for the project is a great chance to meet new people, get involved with the community, promote interest in the area, and gain new skills and experience.

Our volunteer positions are organised through Wolverhampton Arts & Heritage (based at Bantock House Museum). More information about the process of application can be found on the Arts & Heritage webpages.

We currently have two volunteer positions:

Social Media Assistant
We need a volunteer to help create and maintain a profile for the network on Facebook, Twitter, Flickr and other social media. We can provide a day’s free training at Wolverhampton Art Gallery. Download an A4 PDF version of the role profile.

Events Assistant
We need a volunteer to help organise meetings and events involving organisations and individual supporters of the network. These include a number of museums, archives and local history groups in Dudley, Sandwell, Walsall and Wolverhampton. Download an A4 PDF version of the role profile.

If would like an informal chat or if you have any questions about the application process or our volunteer positions please call or email the distinctly black country office office. Ask for Paul.

To apply for either of the positions on this page download and complete the application form. Send it to:
